Magnetic removable clamp

It comes with a magnetic clamp (which cannot be stuck to the device directly). The magnetic clamp has to be removed before folding the handle.

Battery

Installed with a comparatively smaller capacity battery that lasts around 6 hours (OM 4 battery lasted >12 hours). The 1000mAh battery can be fully charged in 90 minutes with a 10-watt charger.

Weight

Weighs around 290 grams which is almost 100 grams less than OM 4 which weighed nearly 400 grams. The reduced weight and size make it easier to carry for a longer period and compact enough to pocket it.

Switch orientation

A new switch is introduced in the front for the camera orientation (One time press will toggle the rear camera to the front and vice versa, two presses toggle from portrait to landscape and vice versa).

Shot guide

The feature offers shooting and editing tips enabling newbies to capture stunning footage. It recognizes the scene and provides suggestions of what to record and how long to record.

Face recognition (Activetrack)

Activetrack 4.0 gives freedom of focus on what you are doing instead of trying to keep yourself in the frame. It keeps the focus on the subject as long as the feature is on.

Phone and weight compatibility

DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal is compatible with a phone of 230 gm. (a variation of up to 60gm). The following devices are compatible with DJI OM 5: Huawei, Honor, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, LG, Oneplus, Google, realme, iPhone 8, and up.
